The majority of Chablis is planted in the vineyard “Les Pargues” situated behind the Premier Crus Vaillons and Montmains. This vineyard benefits from the same quality exposition and soil as its prestigious neighbours. A fresh, vivacious style with intense floral aromas. This Chablis has the perfect balance, combining full, generous fruit flavours with finesse and elegance. Left side of the Serein river, near the village of Préhy. The largest vineyard is “Les Pargues” followed by “Soillats”, “Ardilliers” and “Beaumonts” . Lime-clay soils are dominant here, but the geological originality of appellation Chablis resides in its sub-strata, often quite near the surface, of kimmeridgean limestone, formed by billions of tiny fossilised oyster shells called ostrea
